Cookies
Many websites generate small files known as cookies. These files contain information on your visit to the website. The files are then saved in your web browser. The aim is often to enable websites to be improved to better meet your needs.
Following an amendment to the Act on electronic communication which took effect on 1 July 2011, everyone visiting a website must be informed that the website uses cookies and what they are used for. The visitor must also consent to cookies being used.

Avoiding cookies
There are settings on your computer which you can select if you do not wish to accept cookies. Your computer will then automatically refuse to allow cookies to be saved or tell you each time a website asks to save a cookie. Through the web browser, you can also delete previously saved cookies.
