We award grants for research in the form of programmes and projects. Applications can be made only in connection with calls. All applications should be made in our web-based application portal (see link to the right).
Our research funding
Researchers at Swedish universities and colleges are invited to submit applications for environmental research. Our total budget for Environmental Research Appropriation and grants from the Game Conservation Fund is around SEK 100 million.
The Director General is responsible for making all decisions on the awarding of grants. An Environmental Research Council (ERC) is her advisor. The bulk of our funds can only be applied for in response to a specific call for proposals.
The focus of environmental research is determined largely by the designated focus areas for research appropriations and by the separate framework programme for grants from the Wildlife Management Fund.
