Agency for Marine and Water Management

The Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (SwAM) is a new government authority that works to achieve flourishing seas, lakes and streams for the benefit and enjoyment of all. The new agency has taken over most of the responsibility for issues related to seas and freshwater from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. 

The two government agencies works closely with each other.
