The Sixth International PCB Workshop, entitled Persistent Pollutants Require Persistent Solutions, was held in Visby, Sweden, from 30 May to 2 June 2010.

The workshop discussed state-of-the-art knowledge of the distribution and effects of polychlorinated biphenyls, the environmental pollutants commonly known as ‘PCBs’. Current and potential measures to reduce their future impact were also on the agenda.

The workshop covered a range of aspects, from analytical issues to the effects of PCBs on the environment and human health. Sessions on how to reduce PCB exposure, including practical and legal implications, were included.
